| Hot Heading |
Since staring our Hot Heading operations in 1981, Steel City Bolt & Screw has become a major producer of hot headed products. Our hot forging machines produce hot headed products in diameters up to 2½" in any length, in various grades, with rolled or cut thread, to your specifications. | Quality Assurance |
The Quality Assurance program at Steel City Bolt & Screw begins with our suppliers, even before a single load of steel is shipped to our 80,000 sq ft facility. To insure the quality of our products, we start with the best quality domestic steel. Copies of the mill test reports are available, in addition to letters of conformance and other related certifications.
Each employee has been trained in our Quality Assurance program procedures; frequent line side checks are built into the manufacturing
process. Finished products are tested by an independent metallurgical laboratory. Contact us if you have specific questions regarding our quality control procedures. You can also download our quality control manual.

| Finishing & Shipping |
|
A majority of our products are hot galvanized. Because this process can affect the fit, we take extra steps to ensure that zinc build-up is not excessive. Every bolt is checked to make sure the standard nut fits. We hot galvanize to your specifications, and we offer electro-zinc plating and other special coatings and finishes
Finally, our products are carefully packed and inspected, then shipped by the most reliable and economical carriers available.
Since our manufacturing, storage, shipping and administrative offices are all under one roof, we can offer you a faster turnaround time on your order.
